So, last year, I started writing a Grimm fic that was a complete mirror of A Christmas Tale.…and the last paragraph just cracks me up.
"In A Christmas Tale, at this juncture, Dickens illuminates the further goings on of those in the streets of London. However, the population of the parking lot is, as I imagine it would be late on Christmas Eve, populated merely by those imploring Nick not to spend Christmas alone, despite his strange but plot device necessary insistence on doing so. Dickens also goes on about misanthropic ice. How ice could manage to be misanthropic, I have no idea.”
Omniscient first person narration leads to meta commentary is what I learned from this exercise.

Love the new search but wish it looked more like your dashboard? Well, we put a toggle on the results page that does exactly that. Go ahead, try it out. Neat, yes?
“Yes,” you whisper.
Great! Glad you like it.
“The character design of Flynn came from the process which was called the “hot man meeting” by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, during which they set up a meeting with all of the female employees of the studio in one room and asked them for their opinions of what made a man good looking in order to create Flynn’s character design with features such as eye color, hair color and style and body type. Video footage showed concept art and photos of various male celebrities, including Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Brad Pitt, David Beckham and Gene Kelly on the walls of the room. Director Byron Howard said they wanted to make Flynn “the most handsome, most attractive male lead Disney has ever had.”
"The hot man meeting" is now my second favorite animation design story, after the one about how Pixar animators working on the Dug team for Up had “fat dog day” where they basically went to a shelter and were like “please bring out your fattest dogs,” and then they hung out with the fattest jolliest available dogs, all day.
man would i love to be a pixar animator
"Please bring out your fattest dogs." I cannot handle it.
Buffy Meme - (2/4) Relationships → Giles & Anya
"If it wasn’t for me, Giles would be a terrified old man staring at a quarterly tax statement and wetting himself."
